Mastitis is the most common disease in dairy cows and is therefore also one of the disorders for which most antibiotics are used: many of those treatments are unnecessary or misused.
OZOLEA-MAST is an intra-mammary applicator, completely designed without pharmacological compounds.
It is not a veterinary medicine and therefore does not require a prescription. OZOLEA-MAST consists of only a single ingredient: food grade corn germ oil, which is biotechnologically produced via the exclusive OZOLEA technology.
This process enables the product to form a physical film barrier when it comes in contact with the inner wall of the teat canal, enabling it to:
– create an unpleasant environment for bacteria, which reduces the aggressiveness of a possible bacterial attack,
– give the udder tissue a respite from exposure to the external environment and any bacterial attack so that it can continue its natural regeneration process.

When can OZOLEA-MAST be used?

To achieve the best results with OZOLEA-MAST, it is important to intervene quickly: the product must be used when the milk producer has to choose between doing nothing or using antibiotics. If one does not intervene at the first signs of imbalance in the udder tissue, various factors will determine how the condition develops. In about 50% of the cows, the normal physiological conditions of the udder are restored autonomously, while the remaining 50% of the cows needs antibiotics.
